Documents

By the Silock TeamUpdated

The short answer

Silock keeps documents as well as photos. Add files from the Files app, read PDFs and text files without leaving Silock, and save a copy back to Files when you need to send one.

Passports, contracts, medical letters, tax returns, scans of an ID: some of the most sensitive things on a phone aren’t photos at all.

Add documents

  1. Open a silo.
  2. Choose to add from Files.
  3. Pick the documents. Silock encrypts each one as it’s added.

Read them in Silock

PDFs, plain text and rich text open right inside Silock, so you can check a document without it ever leaving the vault.

Send one when you need to

When you need to share a document, save a copy to Files and send it from there. That copy is a normal, unencrypted file, so delete it once it’s sent.

No limit on Free

Documents don’t count toward Silock’s Free limits. Keep as many as you like.

Questions people ask

Is there a limit on documents?

No. Documents have no limit on Free or Pro. The Free limits are only for silos, photos and videos.

Which files can I open inside Silock?

PDFs, plain text and rich text files open right in the app. Other files are kept encrypted and can be saved back to Files to open in another app.
